Well - colors, contrast, panning all are superb!! [H]

Perfect panning, clean background, subject (the car) is tack sharp.

The only problem? the crop ratio - the height is too short I think.

    Well done!!

Da&%*^&#&%!#........ and Ilobby so hard against IS!!

Actually, that is exactly the very technique that IS is best for. And you have demonstrated it quite well my friend.

That's some nice wall art. The low crop is cool but I'd center the cars vertically. I'd love to see what's above the barrier. Especially if it's motion blurred.

    Mark-

If I had known you were taking my picture that day, I would have worn my clean helmet...

I actually like this ratio for these cars since they are so long and short but I do think they would look better if the car was centered to the frame top to bottom. The fact is that the background is an ugly munipal airport and panning at 1/125 didn't make that look much better.

    Here's what you're missing though:

I agree about the center crop.... I actually like the stuff flying by up top, the green is kinda muddy (go figure). I personally think the the airport "scenery" is less distracting than the crop, but that may just be me (the other thing is that having it cropped right through those horizontal fence lines is kind of distracting to me eyes).

My biggest critique? They don't have these events here in Vancouver :P

That's better. I can't tell what that municiple airportit is. It's so blurred the isolation of the car in sharp focus works great!!

Wall Art I tell you. Print at least 20" with a nice matt and hang that puppy up on the game room wall!!

I agree with Oren. Great job overall tho. Just got my 70-200 f2.8 L IS yesterday. I look forward to taking some action shots like yours. Lets see how they came out.

Did you have your lens set to Mode 2?
