    Fees and Royal Parks

<div id="post_message_8693158"]We have a small Photography business, and have been asked to do some portrait shots in the Royal Parks around London, I understand a fee is due to the Royal Parks, does anyone what kinds of fees they change? And the length of the process?</div>

I have no idea about England, but at the botanic garden here in Chicago I can walk in and pay the fee at the front desk with a credit card. The fee for the botanic garden here is $125. I would assume you can check the website of the park or the group that runs the park. That is how I got the information on my park. Here I have gone in with a tripod and taken self portraits without being charged. Here the fee only applies to "major production" type things. low key photography does not require a fee. I think if you look professional (reflectors, photgraphers vest, more than one camera etc) you would be more likely to be stopped.

This information is probably useless to you, but at the least it brings your topic back to the top

    Q. Do I need a permit for photography/filming in the Parks?

    A. Not if the resulting images/recordings are for personal use only. However, images or sound recorded for any other purpose require a license, and may attract a fee. Please see the license pages for more information.
