faulty canon eos 1D mark II

Hi everyone


My canon 1Dmark II, after I updated the firmware it wont turn on again from the power switch, it will start up only if I withdraw and put back the battery. If the camera goes off (auto off or turned off from power switch NOT if turned off from the memory card slot cover handle ) it won't come on again (shows battery flat) only if I remove and replace the (same) battery. After I replace the battery everything works fine


If anyone knows how can it be fixed, let me know please

I'd try re-downloading the firmware and re-installing the firmware from the second download. If that doesn't work, I suspect it's time for a trip to Canon.
