Bob, these are really beautiful HB shots. only the BG looks a little too busy and bright for me that seems make the subject a bit less stand out. but just my 2 cents and again , they are great great shots!

Steve, very colorful bird and trees, nice shots!, just the light look a little too hard, i

@ Joel, Another nice HB shot. The lighting is very clean and well balanced on this one---I like it.

@ All--Thanks for your suggestions and comments on my previous post. I posted a summary and some example shots of my ghosting problems on its own string ( Technical Problems--Advice or Suggestions Appreciated )---just in case there are some non-birders that might be willing to comment. Please feel free to evaluate and offer suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Bob

This is a young Red Bellied Woodpecker that has been visiting my setup recently.

It was a gloomy day so I used the on camera flash with the better beamer and two remote flashes off to each side about 45 degrees and set them to 1/16 power just for fill light.

Canon 40D, 400mm f5.6L (@5.6), 1/200s, iso 100. The sun just started coming out when I took this shot, so I turned my flash off.
