Philip, Of course I was---on TDP, I talk to anyone willing to listen

As far as shooting remotely----I will probably set up and give it a try this weekend. It sounds like it might make a lot of things easier--My eyes aren't too good at close range so having a bigger screen (and the histogram) plus all of the controls might be just what I have been looking for. Now all I have to do is talk my wife out of her Laptop ---Of course, if she gives me any grief---thats just an excuse to go out and get that Macbook) Hmmmm "Auto Capture" I have to look that one up.

    Thanks,
    Bob

I was a long time PC user and bought the MacBook last summer because I had given my PC laptop to my daughter for college....I must admit I absolutely love it!!!

Here's a recent picture I took with my T3i and humble 55-250. Shot settings are f/8 1/1600 second ISO 400 at 250mm. The picture has been post processed to crop the image and enhance both contrast and saturation.

It's been awhile since I posted in this thread! I did a really rebellious thing today that I probably shouldn't have ...I took a 2 hour drive back to Horicon Marsh and spent the day shooting. I really thought there would be more birds than there were and I thought the fall colors would be better but I'm still glad I spent the day there! Fog was really thick in the morning but it turned out to be a pretty decent fall day!

Here are just a few shots that I have had a chance to look at ...
