    Denise ... very nice, is that a female Red Winged Blackbird? Strange coincidence because I went to a local woodland refuge this afternoon to see what was about and the only thing I found that was cooperative was a Red Winged Blackbird! Took this with the 500mm hand held on the 1D MKIV.

    Great shot, Joel! Yes, I believe mine is a female R-W, I had to look it up because they look nothing like the male!

    Here is a shot I took of a baby robin in a nest in my backyard bush. There are actually two in the nest but I guess only one was hungry!

    Denise, I would have never even thought that was a red-winged blackbird. Wow, learned something new today!

    That baby robin is awesome! Boy they are ugly without feathers though.
