Took some images this morning using 5DS-R and the 600mm + 1.4 TC :
Northern Flicker
5D MKIV
840mm
1/320
f/5.6
iso 1600
This was at least one stop underexposed (my mistake) but still resulted in a fine image after correcting the exposure in DPP4 even at 1600 with no noise suppression added.
( A little taste of iso-invariance perhaps? )

1/160
manual mode
spot metering
GBH ( with my "used but new to me" 600 )
Note: the 1/4000 shutter speed was probably way more than needed in most instances but helped get a sharp image from a rocking boat hand holding the big lens.

Had really nice light today in between rain storms. First chance I have had for a while to take some back yard pics as we have been deluged with rain lately. I was happy to get a few nice poses of multiple species in diffuse light due to overcast skies.
