    Here's one for Bill.....

I took his advice (mostly)..... went out on the back deck this morning with just camera, lens and tripod. Did not bother with the multi-flashes but because it is so shady here I did use the 580EXII on camera with a better beamer just for "fill flash"

    1DX
    300mm f/2.8L IS USM I
    ISO 3200
    f/4.0
    1/1000
580 EX II + Better Beamer at 1/32 power

Joel....I like this RTHB capture even though you used a flash and BB. But I have to ask; did you have your cup of coffee next to you and did you use a cable release? Both are key components in "lazy man photography".

Raid....first for me also, great looking bird and nicely captured.

I lost my budgie in 2009, but he looked just the one you photographed Raid.

The blue one shown below didn't work out (given back to pet store to find a good home), but we kept the green one.

Have been doing PP work now for over a week, mostly deleting and the odd edit and I'm getting very tired of it.

But then one shot comes along that makes you realise all of that hard work was worth it.

I would like to thank the engineers at Canon for making this shot possible.

    Black-breasted Buzzard.

    Canon EOS 7D, EF-S 10-22, EF 24-105L, EF 50 f1.2L, EF 70-300L, 430EX.
