I think I fixed the other photo, used my smartphone. Guess it didn't work out.

Yes, nice owl picture. I have but one VERY crummy shot of a barn owl in flight but would be ashamed to post it! They are certainly elusive.

Looks good to me Joel. That 5Ds R tempts me very much as well.

I like how the waves have a little HDR affect in them.

Nice shot of the Herons, it might be my monitor but they seem a little underexposed? The snow looks more like 30% grey, to me.

Took this just yesterday, not my best but still OK.

There was crazy amounts of atmospheric distortion in this shot (2X on 600mm) and ISO 6400, it's so soft at 100% it's impossible to tell if it's in perfect focus or not (I suspect that it is.). But it's reasonable at 800 pix.

    Hope you like it,
    John.

Good call on the exposure John . I am away from home for a few days so im using my laptop and the brightness changes a lot depending on the angle im looking at the screen.

Osprey....normally these guys don't come close enough to fill the frame....I did very little cropping on this shot.

Bill, it's a nice shot... but I'm confused. To me, those noise levels at ISO 800 imply a near pixel-peeping level of cropping, but you say you didn't crop much. Was it originally severely underexposed? Did you add grain in post?

thanks David...yes, it was underexposed and needed quite a bit of added exposure. I was shooting another subject when s/he appeared quickly....I turned focused and shot....this was the only shot w/it looking down at me w/eyes sharp after PPing.

Yes sedwards, it's MUCH better now!

The sea gull shot is great.
