Thanks Dave, I had many cooperative birds over the holiday weekend but the light was not very good for the most part.

Hi guys and Happy New Year!

This thread is as amazing as ever! I just scrolled through about a hundred pages, some from way, way back and the more current ones and everyone just continues to leave me in complete awe! One beautiful photo after another ...still the best on the internet and going strong!

Thanks, Joel! I haven't been really shooting much in quite awhile but I just picked up the 7d II and Sigma 150-600mm/c. So, once I figure out the new gear, maybe I will have a decent shot or two to post. Looking at all of these though, I am feeling a bit intimidated ...okay, maybe more than a bit! You guys are the best! Maybe I will start a newbie thread!

You will enjoy the 7DII....I have been using it a lot. The increased pixel density and 1.6 crop factor allow you to retain more detail when cropping. The only thing I have found is that it does not do as well with underexposure and really low light compared to the full frame sensors. In good light it is capable of great things. You will do wonderfully I am sure. Can't wait to see some of your shots here!
