    Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is a sharp-shinned hawk and a northern flicker.

    I was going to post yesterday that I was amazed how close you were able to approach a Sharp Shinned and how I was sorry for the Flicker too ..... I believe you are correct.

    My first wild ABE .... went on a 3 day fishing trip to Kentucky Lake and, of course, the camera bag had to be part of the plan

    This was taken Thursday, it was a rainy gloomy day which I think is why this bird was so approachable, I was happy to get the chance.
