Not exactly up to the standard of the rest of the pictures here, but here is one of my favorites of a heron taking flight.

    XSi, EF-S 18-55IS, F-11, 1/250, ISO 200

    Any comments/criticism welcome.

Strange... my picture got cut off on the right side. Oh well, I'm new to this. I'm quite inspired by all the other postings --- very nice everyone!

Did you resize it to 800 pixels wide? I believe that is the maximum width that will post.

The part that was shown was nice though [H].

Funny, I was just thinking "nice unusual composition" on the owl pic. Oh, well... [H]

I very well could be horribly mistaken, but I think the width limit is 600px.

It is 800 pixels. The only reason I know is that I received a message on this when I joined this forum (very recently). It says "For display in the forums, size your images to 800px (or less) in width. The limits for uploading files to the site are currently set to 1024k max per image and 5120k max overall". []

Good deal! Thanks for the absolute answer! I guess it never affect's me as I use the medium size on flickr's sharing option. It always seems small enough.
