    Joel - Another beautiful shot.

I decided to get a couple Snow Owl shots before they head back north. I am really surprised they are still around since it has been so warm. Not the best perch, but they are pretty birds.

Thanks, Pat. I need to work on my technique and be more patient. Will work on some more agreeable subjects (robins, house finches) and post some on them. Feels like I am trying to run without taking time to learn how to walk.

The shots on this thread (your and others) are incredibly impressive.

Thank you for the compliment, but my bird shots are not in the same league as the people posting here (I get lucky once in a while, but seldom). If you are wanting to learn... there are quite a few people here that seem to be very open to teaching. Good luck.

I'm still an absolute beginner at shootin pics but there are some really nice photos on here, and what I'm wondering is are they all just the basic photos or are they all edited before posting? I mean colours and brightness, because the colours on some of them are amazing.
I live in the north east of england and there are no colourful birds like the ones you people take pics of.
The only birds we get are the most common'est birds ever wood pigeon, black bird, crows, house sparrows etc all dull lol.
Nice pics everyone keep it up, and hopefully ill be posting soon

Joel ---- I greatly enjoy looking at all your photos but that one really raises the bar. Perfect pose, sharpness, colour, DOF, and bokeh... stunning.

Thanks Jayson...one advantage of the setup process is choosing the background!
