Thanks Joel. It was a beautiful day today. The snow with light winds was so nice (compared to the last few days). Wind finally stopped today and we finally got dug out.

It is pretty cold now, so the birds don't mind if I set up a tripod and camera 15 feet from the feeder and stand there without a blind. Give them a couple of minutes and they are all around me - until a hawk showed up and then they all took off. A little later in the day the little birds were eating (although a little skittish) when there was a hawk planted in a branch above them. There was even a Cardinal sitting in the same tree about 5 feet away from the hawk. When it gets cold they seem to be more worried about eating food rather than whether they are going to be food.

Another image from the weekend.....it had stopped snowing but the snow on the ground acts like a reflector so the birds tend to have a natural "glow"

Wow... water in the liquid form. I have not seen that for a while.

Reall nice shots - especially the Blue Jay.

There is actually some ice and some open water....the lakes here occasionally freeze but it's very thin and not safe to walk on
