    40D movie mode?



    Recently I found out that you can replace the firmware in many point-and-shoot cameras to provide extra functionality. See http://lifehacker.com/387380/turn-your-point%20and%20shoot-into-a-super%20camera.





    They are currently trying to provide some extra functionality to the 40D, including (but not limited to) movie recording and AF adjustment. See http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/40D. It's far from complete, but it should be really nice once it's done.

    I love CHDK on my Canon digicams. Raw recording, live RGB histogram and so much more.
