Thanks. Here's the other good one. Looks like he's smiling.

And, here's one from today. Mr. Toad (American Toad?) makes an appearance. I thought he lived under the deck, but it looks like he just finds his dinner there. I saw him eat a spider, and he was trying to eat an earthworm.

Similar story for Mr Turtle (Eastern Box Turtle?). We might seen them once a year.

Here is a simple weed. Why is it we call some flowers or wild flowers, and others are just weeds? They all have there own beauty.

Pat - looks like Queen Anne's Lace. Basically a wild carrot. I agree some of the coolest looking flowers are indeed the wild ones.

Begonia up close with one of the "artistic" filters on the iPad version of iPhoto. The iPad/iPhoto combo is not yet a full replacement for aperture/iMac, but it gets better and better and easier and easier to manage the photo workflow away from home.

It is Queen Anne's Lace (that much I knew), but I did not know it was a wild carrot. So... is the root edible? Thank you for the enlightenment. This what I like about posting here... people always are willing to educate, and i enjoy benifitting from it.

    thekingb - Beautiful shot.

The root is edible - it is best for stews and flavors, vs calories.
