HELP....Veiwing video on HD TV

Took a video this morning using my Mark IV and 16-35ll of my son Easter Egg hunting....went to view the movie on my Sony HD TV with an HDMI cable connected to the tv and the camera.


Would NOT work...


connected the supplied cheapo cable, and viola...video. But the quality was poor( as expected).


Did I do something wrong?? Even read the manual(whoa!!), and couldn't find any specific answers, except"some tv's may not display video"....


Can anybody advise..my wife will have a HISSY FIT if I don't figure it out....!!

Nevermind.....I was putting it on my TV's HDMI 3 output, which wasn't set up yet. Rookie maneuver!! Once I set it up, everything worked fine.
