Wow! That's a beautiful capture. I wish I had scenery like that where I live...

I drove 2.5 hours 165 miles one way for it, but I had a company/model so it was worth it

I would have loved to use a the 17mm tilt/shift for something like this.

One would think that at f/20 more of the picture would have been in
focus. Just an observation and nothing against the beautiful image. Just something I noticed.

    I would have to agree.

I think this might be a characteristic of tele-zooms although i am only speculating. I have noticed using narrow apertures on my 70-200 i still achieve some sort of background blur. I have however, shot landscapes at f/32 with my 70-200mm and did have everything in focus. but at this point CA might be a problem.

Nicely done... it is a real trick to get the exposure right in this kind of circumstance, and you nailed it. I agree the depth of field doesn't seem to match up with the f/20 aperture... that's a bit of a surprise to me. If I could suggest, a quick clean-up of the dust specks that appear in the sky would put the icing on this shot. Even with self-cleaning sensors, dust can still accumulate and it really shows up at f/16 and smaller. Congrats on the great capture... can't wait for the wildflowers to show up here in Alberta.
