The Dreaded Error 20 code

Just out of the blue, my 5D Mk 2 started showing this. Can't take a picture. Can't use Live View.


Into Canon it goes! But, at least it's out of warranty!


Has anyone had this happen recently, and if so, what can I expect for a repair bill?

yep... dropped my 5dII off to canon in jamesburg after the same code came up. cost to repair is 180.00. will pick it up tomarrow and find out what the problem was. Mine also is out of warranty by 3 months but with low actuations. I will plead with them for shure.

Mine is about as old as yours, and also with low actuations. I was dreading the cost, thinking it would be closer to $500, but $180 is much better, though, still painful.
