That's phenomenal work. Great job tracking the car. I love the red-hot front rotor against the twin green rings of the wheel, especially since it's part of the team colours.

Please include some info on the photo like gear and settings used.

Thanks so much for the kind comments, and sorry about the lack of details. It's my first post here and I'm trying to figure out the options.

I really like this shot for the details you cite and for the front tire deflection/squish the heavy braking brings.

    40D and 100-400L @ 400mm (640mm), f/5.6, 1/160, ISO 1600

This was taken a little while after sunset at Helliwell Park on Hornby Island, BC, Canada. There are lot of deer out in the open around the island at that time in the evening and they aren't too afraid because they have no predators here. I was actually just back there tonight on another nice photo walk.

I don't know how many here notice this but, when you click Insert Media this dialog comes up

and if you type in 800 it will display it at 800px regardless of the files actual dimensions. Thus the picture will not get cut off.

But you'll still be downloading the large image. In the interests of bandwidth and download time, it's best to resize.

The other useful part of typing in the dimensions is that when the page is loading it will reserve the space for the image. This avoids the annoying page resize that occurs when the browser actually connects and downloads the image.
