Selling 5D II and 7D for 1D mk IV or 1D Mk III ??

    Hello to all,

I plan to sell my 5D II and 7D for a 1D mk IV or 1D mk III

I mainly photograph sports and landscapes, but FF is no real use for me.

I own various L lenses AND APSC specific lenses (Sigma DC and Canon EF-S)

What would be best in image quality (also for print/exhibitions) : 1D IV or 1D III ?

Would the EF-S/Dc lenses fit on the 1D (the mark IV is a 1.3 so I think it would fit. No ?)

    Thanks for your valuable help

You will have to ditch all of the EF-S lenses as they won

The 5D2. Oh, wait, that wasn't one of the options. [] The newer one (1D IV), of course. There may be some circumstances (e.g. printing 4x6) where the results are the same.

Generally, no. The EF-S will not even mount without an adapter, while the DC lenses will mount, but you'll have to research each one individually to see if there are portholing or corner softness issues.

I've never used either camera, but my guess is that the superiority of
the 1DIV over earlier 1D models is one of the few things we can all
    agree on

Sure, there are some circumstances where a p&s is the same as a 5DII
