5D I vs. 7D

As you pointed out, the lens is not anything special. I emailed the guy, he said he bought the body new, then found the lens and filters used. Good point about the receipt. i thought it was interesting too - what shop do you think would still have 5D on the shelf after its replacement was released in Dec. 2008??

I don't even attempt the 17-85 indoors anymore, unless my subject is stationary, that is. But, what 2 year old is stationary????

Buying the 50D for a good deal and spending the rest on an L zoom makes sense to me for now.

Sounds like you would rather have speed andAF accuracy than shear IQ the 5D has. A used 7D might also make sense for you.

Used 7D....yes.....if I could ever find one but I think it'll be a while before people want to part with a 7D. Maybe next year!
