Denise, beautiful color and bokeh, and the purple frame is really cool, simple but great shot!

Thanks, JJ! I took this just a few days ago. The leaves on all the trees are just about gone now but the color of the leaves on these bushes are amazing and they are still going strong!

This might be my new favorite entry and my new "next" lens. I love the glassy quality. Well done!

This was a tough choice, the popular option seemed to be animals and
people and I wanted to be original. I had a golf shot but saw that that
had been done as well (very nice shot by the way) So I'm submitting an
entry I don't have the EXIF data for. My apologies, but it was film and I
didn't write it down. Taken with a Canon AE-1, 12mm extension tube and a
    50mm f/1.8 lens. Film was Kodak 400 B&W, potentially f/11 for this
shot and probably aroun 1/125s. The picture itself is my Canon XTi and a
Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX attached. Thanks for looking!

Very nice pictures everyone. This has been a fun assignment.

    Below is my entry:

    Canon 7D, 50 mm f/1.8 II, 1/3200, f/2.5, ISO 100

The water droplets were from our garden watering wand propped up on a ladder in my front yard. That is my garage window[]. Here are some other "non-entries" that I considered. C&C are welcome.

    50 mm f/1.8 II, 1/4000, f/2.5 Iso 100

    Then a slight change of pace: Canon 7D, 100-400L, 1/800, f/10, exp +2/3, ISO 400

WOW! This assignment really went very well so far[Y]

I just want to remind everyone that today is the last chance to submit your photo(s)!!! So if you haven't done so and you still want to...please be fast!

Since I'm in Europe (Amsterdam time) I'll be waiting till mondaymorning before I'll give the judges the official go-ahead to look for the finalists. To avoid any time-zone issues...

Untill then:if you still want to post, please do so! And if you uploaded more than one photo, make sure it's clear to the judges which one is in for competition. If it's not clear, judges will only look at look at the first submission.

Hope everything is clear! Let's enjoy it these last few hours! And judges: make ready for some hardcore judging, this one is going to be tough[Y][]

Hello all. Here's my submission. This photo was taken on the Big Island of Hawaii in a little cafe called the Coffee Shack. The owners would place small bowls of jelly on the banister of their veranda to feed the geckos. I guess this is where The Gecko vacations whenhe's not selling insurance!
