I agree with Paul. Lose the mouse, and bring in more of the photos in to focus.

Hello all,and thank you for your responses! You know that is exactly what my wife said about the mouse! What I told her was that I was kind of going with the whole retro modern mix of life in a way. her purse is a vintage LV and the mouse is obviously this era, so that was in a sense my idea and composition. i am new to this whole camera, flash, life stuff, so therefore things are sometimes odd. the black and white reflected my thoughts based on the vintage purse, although the purse isn

I agree with everything that was said above.

Also going along the lines of having a clearer focus of the image, I would bring the bottle and the glass together more. Right now things are scattered and the eye wanders a lot when you first look at it.

LIghting wise, it would seem the flash is hitting the wall above the bag. I would angle the flash so the bounce flash is coming from a lower angle to light up the bottom frame a little bit more. It will take focus away from the brightly lit wall and bring it down more to the real focus of the image.

@Do you not know how to rotate a picture back to the vertical position? No not really, but im sure its very simple as long as I take that next step lol! i try to move fast when possible, and i think that clouds my "vision", but i will take notice and do so asap!the 5D does have that as an option, but i felt it may slow, or degrade my photo! also i havent been using the jpg and raw option so now i may suffer a little loss of quality, or the ability to fix things im not very schooled to cs5 or the like, so ill need to use those when possible, and certainly before posting again! im just a bit over excited about using flash, and taking photos! i need to get those books everyone has recommended as well lol! thank again Rich Sincerely deprived, Amercio Salazar
