Nice shots JJ, it must have been a heck of a landing because the bird is taking a long bow.[H]Thank you very much.

What are the light circular spots on the LHS of the first photo?

Very arty, I could picture these on the wall of an office. That 300 must be a sweet lens.

    [Y]Good job.

    Hi JJ,

Very nicely exposed shots under difficult lighting conditions. The birds white feathers are nicely exposed without being blown out. That aint easy!

I think Steve means the gray dots on the upper left hand side (LHS) of the first image. I think it's either water droplets or sand from the bird pluming its feathers, or you're sensor is in some serious need of a cleaning.

I would assume those are Mosquitos too. Those would have to be some big pieces of dust to show up that prominently at f/2.8.

Those are some very cool shots. I too could picture these on the wall in an office.

thanks Joel and Trowski for your compliments! really appreciated!

also thank you Joel for the instruction for how to clean the dust. I did a test shot, I used 12-24mm lens, f22, so this is the result

I see one spot on the upper right side, so I guess those spots on the left side of my bird picture were not the dust. thanks guys!
