    Polar Plunge 2011

New Years Day tradition ...plunging into Lake Michigan!

Todays temp. was 20 degrees with 45 mph winds giving it a real feel temp. of -5! Water temp ...FREEZING!!!!

I got a chance to use my new photographer gloves with only two fingers exposed& Ifelt guilty thinking about those two fingers getting frostbitten and my cold rear end sitting on the frozen rock to take these shots when the girl in front on me was only wearing a bikini!!

Here's a few shots to give you an idea how cold it was ...

Getting ready to take the plunge ...

    And there they go ...

And here they come back ...

Close-ups of a few of the survivors ...

And here's what one bystander thought of the show ...

All shots taken with a 7D and 70-200mm f/4 IS. Click on photo to see larger size & EXIF. Thanks for looking!
