Favorite lens to shoot video with from DSLR

I am finding with my 60D that I am shooting more and more video. The articulating screen helps to get some very unique angles similar to what I use to do with my dedicated video camera.

For those that have been using their DSLR for video - have you found a particular lens to be a favorite so far? I have been using my stock EF 28-135mm for the range but of course sacrifice the DOF I could probably get with a faster apeture lens.

    Thanks as always.

I like to use IS lenses for video, mostly I use the 24-105 IS and the 70-200 f/2.8 IS. Fast canon lenses don

My favorite lenses for video are the 24mm f/1.4 II and 50mm f/1.4.

My favorites are also the primes. You can concentrate better on focusing. Plus, focusing and zooming at the same time is very hard []

My absolute favorite is the 100mm macro L, since I feel like it has a much better designed manual focus ring than other lenses, since macro-photography is manually focused 9/10 times.

Oh and indeed IS is a very nice feature for video. However it screws up the audio if you don't use an external mic.

I love the EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM for video of sporting events. It even works pretty well from the back of a church at weddings. I mount the whole thing on a tripod with a video head.

The Sigma 30mm F/1.4 lens works great on my 7D. I can shoot in very low light, achieve a cinema-like shallow depth of field (in all conditions) and that focal length on an APS-C body is great for general purpose video. I
