All are great but +2 on #1! I love the b&w treatment you applied!

Thanks! All taken with my Fuji X10, my carry-everywhere camera.
There were a couple of arched blue and purple flare artifacts just above the bottom right hand rule-of-third point if that makes sense, but the B&W conversion has rendered them almost invisible.
Saying that, I think you can see one of them in the spray, but it's not a problem at all.
The lens on the X10 doesn't flare much generally, but you can lose contrast if the sun is outside the frame, so I try to put the sun IN the frame where possible.

Just got back from Vancouver. Didn't get a chance to do as much shooting as I thought I would. I did climb Grouse Mountain, which was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I did not break an hour. Here's a few shots from the trip. I'm still going through a bunch of them.

Here's one from our recent backpacking trip to Glacier National Park. This is an 8 minute exposure. For some reason the mountain was much sharper in this picture than in any of the 30 second exposures I took. I'll post a few more from this trip once I weed through the 800 or so pictures I took.

I spent the morning yesterday at an Old Engine Show (yearly event in Buckley Michigan). Somehing my wife and I like to go to every year (it's a real hick thing). Here are a few shots of a couple old steam tractors.

I've finally decided on printing my first panorama. This was the one from the top of Cadillac Mtn. in Acadia. The final size printed will be 100"x24". It will be made of 5 separate prints of 20x24 that Ill put on the wall.

5D III + 24-70 2.8L@ 24mm f8.0 1/50" ISO-100. I used a manfrotto 055xprob tripod with Vanguard SBH-200 ball head leveled with the head and leg bubbles and this was stitched together from about 8 shots in a pan. Converted to B+W in post.
I'm excited about it, and I'll post a picture of it on the wall once it gets here!
Dave.

Man,
That steam engine (tractor?) is neat. I've never seen one like that before. I especially like the shot where you can see them feeding the boiler.
Neat stuff. Thanks for showing it!
