Thanks for posting. Iceland is one of the places I really want to get to one of these days. So many spectacular landscapes come from there. I hope you and your family enjoyed it.

My daughter moved to Phoenix last May, so we went to visit her over Thanks Giving. I am glad we missed all the 100+ degree weather they have had this year... it was in the 70's and low 80's for the week.

This was my first time seeing a desert. So here is my first attempt at getting a desert shot, and one of the few pictures of mine that doesn't have water in it:

No problem Pat. I know I've certainly spent a lot of time here admiring other peoples photos that it's good to post some of mine every now and then.

I can definitely see why you want to go there. The place is very diverse for photo opportunities...volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, geysirs, etc. Some of the pictures you see from there are hard to believe it actually exists until you see it yourself. Amazing place. If you're serious about going, feel free to PM me if you have any questions about what we did or where we went.

It's been some time since my last post on this forum. A few days ago, it was still difficult to believe we were in Winter, but the snow (and the cold) finally came this weekend. I decided to go out tonight, as the sky was slowly becoming more clear.
Here's a picture of a place that is quite close to my parents' chalet. The train took me by surprise, but I was just ready enough to take a picture anyway.

It's been a long long time since I've posted. I'm in Costa Rica right now using my brand new Tamron 150-600, and I couldn't be happier with it. I can't believe the quality for the price. Here are some shots with the lens.

Not the best hummer shot, but it was far away and that sucker kept moving!
