Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I left this one all natural, as this was the first lizard I have shot in about a year that wasn't tied down; i.e., I didn't have a collecting permit to capture this species. So, as I sprawled out on the ground (getting numerous ticks in the process) with my "lizard lens (300mm f4L IS), a friend of mine moved around behind me to elicit the lizard to change positions. For some reason this worked with this guy. Typically they just run away. Collared lizards are pretty fast and will run on only their hind legs. I always wanted to get a shot of that, but I have never been successful to this date.

    Water Droplet Bokeh

Took this one this afternoon while I was out with a friend who just got himself a used D600 and wanted to break it in.

I got an interesting bokeh affect when little water droplets started landing on the UV filter on my lens.

    Taken with a 6D and 100mm f/2.8L at f/2.8, 1/640, and ISO 100.

Unlike last year, we were successful this year:
    Nice detail and colors!

Happy Canada Day! The town of Canmore always puts on a great parade, and today there was extra reason to celebrate as we've made remarkable progress recovering from a severe flood that happened 10 days ago. The firefighters were in particularly good spirits.

Thanks. That's Marina City in Chicago. Those are apartments/condos on top and parking below. It's funny seeing the cars parked right at the edge so high up. This building was used on an album cover for the Chicago-based band, Wilco. It was also shown on the Bob Newhart Show as his residence. That view from the Chicago River is quite common.

Cheeky balloon ride over Goreme, Cappadocia this morning. Some of the most impressive scenery I've ever seen.
