    That's the first frame in a 5 shot series. Second one was also sharp, but the wings weren't displayed as nicely. Then the focus point drifted off target, so the remaining shots were OOF.

    I tried this once, and perhaps the wind was up, I couldn't track w/ my lens, let alone AF. As it gets cooler, I will try again. Nice pic.

    This thread has been getting some nice shots posted lately... please keep it up.

    Here is one from last night. I wanted to see if the 5DS R could replace my 1DX for low light situations. I think it did good.

    I certainly agree. Did you do any dark frame subtraction, etc?

    No idea if he used that mode, but isn't that what the long-exposure noise reduction does automatically?
