    Caught a snake today



    I saved this guy from getting shot where I hung on to him and did a photo session. This is a banded water snake and they are usually killed because they look similar to the copperheads and water moccasins. When disturbed they flatten out their heads where they get that triangle shape minus the eye slit common to venomous snakes. He was wild where it was a challenge to get him posed without getting bit. I love snakes just not crazy about insects.

    all pics with almost no cropping. Snake did not like my lens super close but this one was the closest with my hood attached.
