    Post My Favorites (Flickr)

There's nothing more sweet than posting an awesome shot that you can claim as your own. But what do you do with all those wonderful pics you come across in your travels that belong to someone else? Well if you use Flickr you just chuck em in "My Favorites". But who looks at your favorites? Why not dust off a few of these favorites and post them here. To give credit to the photographer please use the image link provided by Flickr.

Of course it doesn't have to be a Flickr photo, post any image that has captured your imagination...

(Some instructions for those who are new)

I only have one flickr image on my favorite list so this is easy. Apologies for any inappropriate political reference.

You'd think I would know to preview or write my own html. Now I need to learn to delete a post. But for now, here's what I intended to add. Taken from the official Whitehouse photo stream.

    Some really inspirational shots there.

@ JohnU, I don't think we can delete. In the past I've just deleted the text except for a period mark, or just written something like "Edit: Double Post - sorry".

Here are some other recent pictures that have spun me out and inspired me:

The first image is nothing new, dramatic sky, boat on a beach; but it is just so well executed. The image of the bike was taken by someone from my city, and as far as I can tell it was not a studio shot or the result of photoshop. It reminds me of FreelanceShots recent bike shot. The last one strikes me because it accesses a dimension of portrait photography that IMO is not often seen. The photo goes beyond the technical aspects of a portrait and captures a brief glimpse of who the person is, not just what they look like. Diane Arbus and Henri Cartier Bresson are two photographers that come to mind who were able to capture this quality in their subjects. <span class="tl"]
