I am sure RAW would help, but I hate DPP and right now there is no RAW support in Lightroom for that camera, since it's so new. I did a couple of conversions in DPP and obviously RAW is better. I know you can select your focus manually with the S100, but I mean... it's a point-and-shoot and the squirrel is DEAD CENTER in the frame. Why should I have to go through that crap? (it's not easy to select you own focus, or fast). I know the HDR needs a tripod (it did give me a warning when I put it in HDR mode) but i would think SUBTLE hand movements shouldn't render my HDR blurry. But they do. You literally NEED A TRIPOD or set the camera down or you aren't getting results. Yeah, I love the 1DMkIV because it shoots 10fps and you can select five exposures. I have a taken a few photos with that (hand-held!):

    and

for example. I know that the S100 isn't a pro camera with amazing results... but my point is it's only a hair above where the other point-and-shoots are now, if even. Don't feel it's worth over $400 of money.
