I haven't had too much time to spend on this assignment until a brief break yesterday. Here are the shots, the first is my entry:

ps, @Jan, I'll definitely second that Hertog Jan is the best, although have you tried the Hob Goblin? Only place I know that definitely has it is the North End english pub in Leiden, I might have seen in somewhere in Den Haag of Scheveningen ook.

Funny you said that Dr Croubie. Leiden is on the other end of the Netherlands, about 2,5 hours from where I live, but I know the pubMe and my friends go there once a year to drink some beer and whisky. I definitely tried the Hob Goblin, good stuff. When I'm in Leiden I also like Old Speckled Hen

@Dr. Croubie & Jan - Sometimes you can find bottles of Hob Goblin around here, and I'll agree that it is quite nice...never heard of Hertog Jan though. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.Stephen

Ohhh, Highland Park is one of my favorites. My Dad and I both love settling down with a glass of Scotch when we see eachother. His favorite is Talisker, mine, Lagavulin. Mmmmm.

Good taste Damian! I like Springbank a lot and the 15 yr old Glenn Fiddisch Solera is quite nice I think.

I didn't intend that my entry would turn this thread into the whisky appreciation society, but I have to agree that you both have impeccable taste. I sampled the Solera and others when I visited the Glenfiddich distillery earlier this year. You have tempted me to open my 14 year-old Glenfiddich Rich Oak and raise a glass to the finalists in this assignment. Well done folks.
