I went to Holland Michigan yesterday. They are getting ready for the tulip festival so there are so many tulips of every kind imaginable. They have 120,000 tulips at one park, and that is only a small portion of the tulips around town. Here are a few from yesterday:

Sorry for so many... but I had fun.

    Thank you guys.

The windmill was under construction, so it took some walking around to find find an angle that would cover up the porta john and the construction equipment & materials.

    Nice set of shots, conropl!

Pat, great shots! When I saw them, I had to google where I can find these things in Holland. My girlfriend insists on going there now she's seen your photos!

Franco, that's a great shot! I also like the tulip-session on your blog.

Thank you Jan. The windmill was actually purchased in your country, dismantled, and then reassembled here. They still make flour with it.

Great info Pat. I didn't know that. That must be quite a big project, because these things don't really look easy to build from the outside. Have you checked the inside as well? I still have to do that sometimes. I've seen videos of the flower-process and it's pretty genius.

Nope... I couldn't get in because they were in the middle of some refurbishment. So they had the area around it fenced off. Would have liked to have seen inside of it though.

Great photos Pat, at least there are plenty of flowers around outside to use in the mill.
