Wink Window Light is Beautiful Light

So, in anticipation of getting my PCB Einsteins, I have been experimenting even more with light sources that I haven't really utilized before. One of my New Year's resolutions was to become a student of light, as well as a proficient strobist.

Recently I have been completely hooked on using large windows as a light source. And by that I mean deliberately sitting my subject down close to a window and posing them for the desired affect.

This one is of my oldest daughter Emily. I wish I had used my speedlite for fill.. if only to get some sort of catch light in her eyes.

Adobe, give us courage to edit what photos must be altered, serenity to delete what cannot be helped, and the insight to know the one from the other.
