I told my wife about this thread and was trying to think of an idea or if I had any photos to fit the theme.
Didn't look to long, yesterday morning she made me a coffee.
The gesture of providing me a subject for my new hobby/obsession warmed me more than the coffee itself. Love it's the subtle things we share.
I like the caption. I would never have noticed that it looks as if she was sent flying by a grenade, had you not pointed it out. I think she chose to save her comrades out of love.

Here are a couple. The first one is my niece and her daughter, and it will be my entry.
I included the second one because it is so neat when swans form a heart shape when they are courting.
