1D X, done it, anybody else??

Pre-order is now available from B&H. I'm in the queue...

Fence sitting over, for me at least. Now, the waiting begins.... Anyone (besides Bryan, obviously) joining me?

Congrats John, this is the ultimate.
I hope for your sake those rumours about the AF at f/8 fix in firmware end up being true, it will just be some more icing on the cake anyway.
I get to play with the 5DMK3 tomorrow afternoon and hopefully stock will be available the last week in March they are telling me now.

Congratz John, I am sure you will love it.

I am sure Bryan will have a 1D X vs 5D III comparison once he gets both bodies. I am holding out for his review and yours before I decide which body to go with.

Good for you. Can't wait to see your review, this would be the ultimate camera for many of us.

Cool! I have no doubt you made the right choice. It has the highest FPS, the best AF and best tracking doesn't it? That makes it the best, doesn't it? And don't you deserve the best? (Not that you are a bit like Gaston, but you understand my point...)

And you didn't even have to convince a town full of bumpkins that anyone's father was insane to get it. Good deal....

Very nice, I'm almost certain I'll be going with the 1D X, but I said I was going to wait for real life comparisons between the 1D X and 5D III, and I'm going to stick to that. Coupled with the fact that I just booked a couple of last minute trips that weren't planned (Skiing in Banff with my family and Vegas with friends) and I had to dip into my camera savings a little. So another month or two to replenish my camera savings before making my purchase is the prudent decision. Look forward to your review.
