Setting "Date Modified" field to equal EXIF data picture taken in DPP?

    Folks,

Can anyone tell me how to set DPP to use the EXIF data for the time the shot was taken for the date modified stamp in Windows (if possible)? Shy of that, does anyone have a favorite tool they like to use for this? I've got change about 7k files so it's got to work in batch mode.

    Thanks.

Have never run across anything in DPP, or other processing software, that will allow modifying the OS records of file creation and modification. Using the rename function does allow putting the date and time information into the file name if that helps.

With what you are specifically asking, I think you might have more success looking online for a Windows utility.

I don't believe that DPP can do this. There is a great program that I use for geotagging from gpx track log files that also handles many other EXIF functions. I've had my camera's time off by an hour (DST changes) and easily selected all photos and used the time shift option to change the time. You can do the same for date as well.
