I think you are all winners.
My vote would be to give the assignment setting task to the person who hasn't set an assignment, or hasn't set one for a long time. That should just speed it up a bit.

I'll send all of the finalists a PM to discuss the current situation. We don't have any rules, just some guidelines and therefor I'm pretty sure we can come up with something. We could have one finalist maybe, but multiple is also an option. I'm pretty sure a second poll won't have much succes, so that's out of the question. To all finalists: look into your inbox.
To everyone else: have a little patience, I'm sure we'll work it out. One thing is for sure that there will be some sort of winner(s) and a new assignment
Ok we have a tie. Congratulations Conropl and Dr Croubie!
Conropl decided to give the next assignment to Dr Croubie, so we'll be back with a new assignment made by Dr Croubie very soon.
Thanks everyone

Kind of fitting for this assignment to have "multiple" winners though.
My gear: Canon 500D, 17-55mm F/2.8 IS, 70-200 F/4L IS, 100mm F/2.8 macro (non-USM), 50mm F/1.4
Wow, a lot happened while I was in bed!
I've never won anything before, I'll consider Conropl as a winner too, even if I get to pick the next topic.
How about 'shooting iso3200 B+W Medium Format film at poetry readings'? (nah, that's cheating, but it's my activity for tonight).
I'll PM Jan with suggestions when I get to work in a few hours.
An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.
