<span>Rented the 24-70mm f/2.8 for the weekend with the intention of swapping it between my 50mm and 85mm. The 24-70 never left my camera! Love it! It's a little more weight than a prime but I could live with it :P

Beautiful shot, Baker! This lens was on my short list &amp; it looks like for very good reason!

I agree - nice shot! The 24-70 f/2.8 is the lens I use more than any other, and it is very suitable for the 5D2 full frame sensor.

Took a few shots of Noelle this weekend.

1 White Lightning X2400, high camera left, diffused by a 60" Photek Softlighter II. Strobe triggered via Cybersyncs; powered via Innovatronix Explorer XT. On the lens I used a 2 stop B&amp;W ND filter stacked with a B&amp;W CPL.

Wow. Good job eliminating glare on the glasses. I struggle with that.

The 60" umbrella was placed high enough that it blocked out the sun that she was facing (putting her in complete shadow, allowing me more control over the light). Another advantage of placing the modifier that high up was that it didn't show up in the glasses when she faced forward. If she were looking up at the umbrella, it would have been a different story.
