I really like this one. I like the somewhat subdued backlight coupled with the strong fill. Well done!

Last week I took spontaneoussomephotos of my lovely wife. Flash (580EX) used indirect over the wall. Camera EOS 5D Mark II with EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. What do you think about the lightning and the b&w editing?

I like them. I really like the catchlights in her eyes (especially on the first one).

I did this one tonight in my living room using (2) 430EX and a 580EXII. Was trying for a dramatic and gritty look/feel, like if it were being published on a magazine cover. Minimal photoshop to the image other than adding the logo in the background and b&w. Taken with a 5DMII + 24-105L.

PS: Browsing around this thread, and the "Best Nature Shots", I am at times quite overwhelmed by the many great shots! Keep it up, everyone, for fun and for inspiration ;-)

Sorry for the numerous pictures, this shoot was just too much fun.

I wish I had the strobist info ready at hand, but I don't think I recorded it that day. Senior portraits in Pittsburgh, PA. Editing via LR2 and CS4.
