    S110

The best camera is the one you have with you.
That is why I carry my S95 in my pocket all the time
Passed on the upgrade to S100

    Any comments on the S110

I know a few of you are S95/100 users

    Thank you.

iND, tell me more about your S95. Are you planning on upgrading to the 110? If so, why? I was thinking of getting either the 95 or 100 for my wife, but then I saw the 110. The S110 supposedly has better AF. Would that shine over the S100? Amazon shows about $100 more for the S110 over the 100.

Neuroanatomist also has the S100. Neuro? How are you liking your S100? Does it AF fairly fast?

Still using and enjoying the S100. The S95 is in my wife's purse. IMO, there was a big bump from S95 to S100 - CCD to CMOS, wider and longer lens, better ergonomics with the front 'grip' (as opposed to the stick-on Franiac mod for the S90/95).

The S100 to S110 looks very, very incremental. The S100 has decent AF speed for a P&S, could be improved - but it's not going to be the PDAF of a dSLR even with improvement. Plus, they took away the grip?!?

I have no interest in the S110, but I'll keep happily shooting with the S100...unless I get the Sony RX100 at some point.

I just picked up the Sony RX100 for my wife, she loves it. But I use it mostly.

Love the look of the RX100.

I use the Fuji X10. Bit bigger, especially with the hood, but I carry a bag most places so it's not a problem.

I'm loving it more the more I use it.

I like the S95 because of the advanced manual features and the 2.0 aperture.

The S110 would be an upgrade for me because of the advanced burst mode that I am not sure is on the S100.
High-Speed Burst HQ mode allowing for continuous capture of up to 10 frames at 12.1-megapixels

The image quality I get in adequate light rivals my D50.
I don't use the movie mode.

btw: did canon not have a prior model 'powershot s110' (actually an elph?)

I'm right in thinking the aperture is only f/2.0 at the wide end on the canon range?
