MAC + Premiere Pro "Serious Error" Crashes

    Hey guys,

I'm getting into video edits a bit lately and I've updated to OSX 10.8.2 on the MBP and Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 6.0.2.

Now every time I try to drag a clip from the project panel to the timeline I get a popup saying that Premiere Pro has encountered a Serious Error and must shut down etc etc. Have been on the adobe forums but haven't found a solution for the macbook pro yet. Seems the updated Nvidia drivers for Mac Pro users with a GTX285 are having some success but nothing yet for MBP.

    Anybody have any ideas??

    cheers,

    Ben

Ben, I had similar problems with Premier elements. I finally realized that Premier and my antivirus didn't play well with each other. Each time I used Premier Elements, I had to shut down my antivirus until Upgrades/updates finally resolved the issue. I don't know if this helps, but it might benefit you if you can go through and look at other running programs to see if there are any conflicts.

    Good luck,

    Bob

Yeah I've been through that and still can't resolve it. It appears to be a conflict between OSX 10.8.2, Premiere Pro 6.0.2 along with the Nvidia and Cuda drivers. Thanks for the suggestion though, will have another go at it and see if I can find a solution.

Sorry about your problem. For me, another reason to use the penultimate version of any software, including the OS, never the last one.

Have you tried to put the videos and the Premiere project in a different HD (not in the system disk)?
