Super Boom Packaging - SUPER annoying

HELP! haha. Anyone out there ever have a Manfrotto Super Boom shipped to them before? For those of you that don't know, it arrives in a seemingly solid tube of wood. Super excited to have the thing.. an hour later the packaging is still intact!

Any pointers from any of you who have been through this?! At least I know I got my $100 in shipping supplies and it wasn't just padding the profit..

Removed. That's what happens when I have too many windows open.

    Sorry about that! ;-)
