    Image of the Week.....Week#1

Thought I would try and start something here to get some more images for us to look at.
I would like to try and keep it casual and keep it fun. Entry period will be from Sunday to Sunday, with this first one closing on the 23 June.
Only two categories; Portrait and Landscape
    Portrait- People, animals
Landscape- Country, town, city, sea, abstract, things (water drops, smoke, flowers, candles and so on)

Each category will have a winner each week, voted by the thread starter for that week. Then a poll to sort out monthly winners.

Please supply a title for your image and what category you are entering in. Enter as many times as like, old or new images.

Let's see how this goes, have fun and good luck.

So far I'm winning so I will put one in the portrait category just to get that one started. A team effort with me pushing the button and Denise doing all the PP.
    Category- Portrait
    Title- Halle

Just read the story attached Sean, that's very funny. He's not smiling and it doesn't look like he's been sleeping very much either. His eyes look sore.
    Great shot.

Steve, you always come up with cool ideas. Agreed that more images could be shared here; seems like there's been a noticable drop off in the Assigments of late.

I can't figure out how to make it link right from flickr like Erno did, I'm new to that site.

Hi David, I took the liberty of adding your shot as follows:

    1. click on your image on Flickr
    2. on the bottom right, click the icon that shows an arrow pointing up the right surrounded by a box
    3. click BB code and make sure the image size is LARGE
    4. right click the image to highlight the data and select COPY
    5. now you're ready to post the image on The Digital Picture
    6. type in this text:

    then PASTE, followed by

    [/img]

Your photo should come out like this:

Thank you much, I'll definitely be using that a lot more once I start getting more images uploaded on Flickr.
