We now await Pat's decisions for the best portrait and landscape shot for this week.

Sorry... I did not read your intro for this week and did not realize I was picking. Otherwise I would not have commented or posted myself.

I will get busy figuring out my picks. As is the case every week, the choice will be difficult.

For landscape, my pick would be Jonathan's "Three Sisters at Sunset".

Landscapes picks were really tough... I really liked Erno's and David's shots, but in the end the call of the mountains for this flat lander won out.

For the portrait pick, I was really splitting hairs to come up with one pick, but I ended up picking Wally's "Papa's Princess". Beautiful subject, great focuss, and very well executed.

Wow that's a great honour --- thanks so much! And congrats to Wally too. "Papa's Princess" is the perfect title for the gorgeous shot. Pat I really liked your Old Town scene --- it was obvious that you spent some time putting that composition together, to great effect. The sepia finish was the perfect touch too.
