    Image of the Week...Week#11

    Entry period will be from Sunday to Sunday, with this week closing on the 1st September.
    Only two categories; Portrait and Landscape
    Portrait- Anything with eyes, people, animals
    Landscape- Country, town, city, sea, abstract, things (water drops, smoke, flowers, candles and so on)

    Each category will have a winner each week and this week judged hopefully by Jason also known as Alder Images.

    Then a poll to sort out monthly winners.

    Please supply a title for your image and what category you are entering in. Enter as many times as like, old or new images.

    Here is my Portrait for the week. This is a Praying Mantis devouring a moth. Nature is not always butterflies and furry cuddly animals.

    Portrait Entry Week #11 title: "Eagle Eye"

    I had the opportunity for some close ups on this bird which is in a rehab facility operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. It has a wing injury that they say may be too severe to ever allow it to live in the wild again.

    My landscape entry for this week will be a recent moonlight shot. This was a very calm evening with almost no wind - most of the leaves kept still for the 20 second exposure.
