Landscape Taken a couple of weeks ago. It just did not look right until I converted it to B&W.

This is a place I keep coming back to (and some may recognize the boat from another shot a few weeks ago), I'll enter this one to this week's landscape category:

    "Sunset lake"

    Thanks for viewing!

"Ya-hoo!" A rare portrait shot for me. Yesterday at the Canmore Nordic Centre, this Olympic athlete along with several others led a group of kids on a cross-country ski training camp. The snow comes from an enormous storage pile, held all summer long underneath mounds of sawdust for insulation. There is enough for a 2 km trail, giving us cross-country ski junkies an early start to the season.

Thanks for the wonderful entries, as usual. I'll be back soon to announce my choice of winners.

    A few hours later.....

I have selected "Sunset Lake" by Claes as my favourite landscape and "Young Girl" by Jayson as my favourite portrait this week.

If there was a prize for best caption, it would have gone to Erno for "The Twilight Tone".

If I didn't pick your shot, rest assured that I enjoyed looking at it.

Thank you Andy! I’m a bit surprised and quite happy my photo was selected.

@Jayson: Yes, that boat has a really nice view (but I also think it adds to the view itself). Congrats on your beautiful young girl portrait!

    /Claes
